A friend of mine just bought a new F-150, I was blown away at what a relatively spartan model costs. So I found myself on Ford’s website trying to find out how much one could spend on a new F-150. At the Platinum trim, the base price is $60k!
It does not appear that Ford is offering a raptor for the 2016 model year, and that led me to wonder how much it would cost to get into a slightly used one. The answer is (at least in my area)is...55 thousand dollars!
Maybe this comes as such a shock to me because the Raptor is in a segment of automobile that I have little interest in. Dayum trucks, why you so spensive?
The only vehicles that exist in my brain between $60-100k come from Stuttgart.

Trucks in general are insanely expensive.

I’m asking the same question about the Fiat 124. I noticed that when I was making my joke pic for the fp. That darn thing costs $25k minimum!
Then again, I drive a smart, so I shouldn’t be surprised about absurd pricing lol

my brother in law bought a 2014 FX4 crew cab, and that was about 60000 canadian.
My ex boss bought a brand new 2011 or 2012 F350 king ranch for something like 85000 cnd.

I’ve seen lightly used ones for 45. Yeah the truck game is high these days.

I’m just now finding this out...crazy. Fun as far as vehicles are concerned, for me looks a lot smaller/ligher/tighter and lower to the ground for 60k.
My best friend is a stone mason and a bro. He has a gigantic F350 complete w/ chip and exhaust that I could fit my head into, and it is awesome. Just not my cup of tea, it is terrifying to go around a turn any faster than slow...turns are my favorite

I would have guessed that you wouldn’t walk with one for less than 25, is the miata the same price?

You get a lot for your money, though. For that Platnium f150, imagine a loaded 5 series that can also haul a (small) motor home through ten inches of mud with five people inside, while three dogs and two jet skis ride in the bed.

Less than $100 cheaper. Huh...maybe I’m still living in 2008 before post-recession inflation. lol

I think the Fiat is more powerful, plus you can get the Abarth exhaust note...so I guess between the two I’d choose the Fiat.

Yea I agree that you get a lot for your money. My best friend has an F350 KR and it is a really nice truck. I wouldn’t go a far to say 5 series nice inside, but fords best rendition of that.
